Abstract

BODY PACKING

A passenger was stopped by the Airport Operations Department at Islamabad Customs after the body scan machine showed radio-opaque round-to-oblong shadows in his abdomen. When questioned, he admitted swallowing narcotic-filled capsules for the purpose of smuggling.

At times these capsules may burst inside and lead to severe abdominal pain or drowsiness due to life-threatening poisoning.

In the offset the later recovered capsules are shown from the same body-packer after defecation.
